Shipbuilding technologies made rapid progress in the 20th century of 100 years.
It may be said that ship's completeness has neared the limit. However, the progress of shipbuilding technologies does not cease. Today, about 90 % of the world's cargo transportation is taken by ship and
its role is increasing more and more.
In these circumstances, Kawasaki continues to develop new technologies to create a new era of ships.
That is the pride, and also the spirit, of Kawasaki who constructed a submarine first in Japan and
produced other various kinds of ships "first of Japanese shipyards" or "first in Japan".
Kawasaki's long history of more than 120 years is the history of challenge to new technologies, and
that is why Kawasaki has maintained a top class technical ability in the major shipbuilding power of Japan.
